Shechem – Israel Picture of the Day

Yesterday I lead the Selwyn Family from Brooklyn, NY on a really fun tour of the Shomron. We ended the day in Elon Moreh, a Jewish village that overlooks Shechem.

In this picture you can see the twin mountains of Har Gerizim on the right and Har Eival on the left with the Arab town of Nablus (Biblical Shechem) sprawling in between them. This is where Joshua held the ceremony of the blessings and curses when the Children of Israel entered the land.
